The National Communicable Disease Committee has approved the principle of using biometric data to verify identity for those without identification documents, reducing the risk of communicable diseases and health threats, and is also promoting the measles vaccination campaign to boost immunity against measles for children under 10 years old in 4 southern provinces.
Today (4 April 2025), Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, chaired the 2nd National Communicable Disease Committee meeting of 2025, attended by Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Panumas Yanawetsakul, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, and committee members from relevant agencies.
